Which set up should I get?

I am having trouble deciding on a grow system to buy. There is "the caddy" that has 400 watt air cooled light. 4lbs of carbon in the scrubber and ozone gererator. Aeroponic system with fogger. co2 boost. You can see it here. Caddy Turn Key System After shipping and the co2 boost it comes to $2450.

The next one is much different. It has 1000 watt air cooled light. An air conditioner! co2 injection(w/out tank) It comes with a 175 cfm exhaust fan but for $250 you can get a 265 cfm fan with a 25lb carbon scrubber(I think this is a must) This one is a little bigger and has verticle lights as well. I don't need the clone chamber on top. I think you can have them leave this out so you have some more space. The only thing they left out is pullies for the light. It doesn't look adjustable. Oh well, that can be fixed. Check this one out here. V2 Medium Stealth w/ Air Conditioning, Co2, 1000w A/C HPS/MH (Digital Ballast Opt), Aeroponic Hydroponic System for 4-16 Plants & 75 Clones This one is $2900 before shipping and I still need to buy a co2 tank. Almost $1000 more than the caddy.

If I have the money, should I go for the more expensive system? Is it worth it?

not trying to be a dick but like I told you before, you would get MUCH more out of constructing your own grow room.

1. You would learn more about what kind of environment a plant needs.
2. Cost would be MUCH less.
3. Efficiency would be WAY better.
4. If you have problems which you undoubtedly WILL, you will be able to fix them and NOT lose your crop.

My suggestion to you would be design your own system bigger than these units but use them as a guideline or a model for your design. Plan on 1 square foot per plant if you want to go SOG. More than that if you don't want to go SOG.

There are also plenty of tutorials for VERY efficient setups here. One of my favorite designs I have seen is Fletch's big aeroponic unit.

You have the cash so get extra lights as a backup. Maybe even set up another area as a testing area if you have the space.

If stealth is an issue you can buy a prefabricated cabinet much larger than those shown for a reasonable price and just scale up everything that turnkey systems have.

Your right, I guess I got excited. I like having the idea of a perfect system all set up and ready to go. I like to pay to have things done for me. Where can I find the cabinet you are talking about?

I am building my own grow box, the grow area is 4' tall with a pitched roof, and a 6" in lit and a 6" exhuse inline fans will be vented into the chimney not done yet but 90% done, i have about $160 invested so don't spend your cash on something fancy.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Yeah both are way over priced. I have talked to a few canadian hydro shops who carry the BC bloom boxes and they say they suck and cant grow what they claim as they are too small and gett o hot.Id advise you to look in to a hydro hut you can get a decked out 1 for half the price and it folds up for storage and you can put it anywhere and they have abou 6 different sizes. You can use them to grow anyway you want soil, aero, bubble, dwc, flood and drain whatever you want.

Those hydrohuts look pretty nice. Can you leave them closed? It doesn't look like their is any ventilation when it is zipped up.

i own one. there are 4 vents just for you lights or intake/exhaust fans. at the bottom there are vents on 3 of the 4 sides for a passive airflow system. i leave mine closed and with one 250 cfm fan at the top and my 600 watt cooltube (which doesn't have its own fan yet) it only gets to about 87 at the most. once i get my other fan, i expect temps to drop at least 5-10 degrees. with the front flap closed 24/7. hydrohuts are the shit man. :peace:

Wow thank you all so much! You saved me a lot of money. I see now that those systems are a big mistake. I am getting my hydrohut and we will be growing in October. I am getting the 4x4x7 hut with a 1000w cool tube. With the money saved I can get a good TDS pen and co2 system. Can't wait to throw up some pics. You guys are so helpful.
