I have 7 strains in Veg right now and want to narrow down the variety and select 4 strains from the top 7 choices to raise Mothers. What would your top 4 be? My primary growing intent is to provide meds for cancer patients who need relief from both pain and Chemo side effects. As a Primary Care Giver for my terminally ill wife - I appreciate any input about strains that would specifically help these patients. Otherwise - just name your favorite smoke and what qualities make it the best.

Thanks for the feedback.

I wanted to vote for all of them but chose WR. I am a 100% Serious Seeds fan..hands down..no doubt they breed some of the most stable strains on the planet.

I would move those lights way closer to the plants ASAP or your gonna have some beanstalks on your hands

Roger That Boneman -

I'll get em lowered today. They have to stay in this Veggie tray for another 2 weeks until the current flowering batch is harvested and room is available for the transplant.

Here is the current crop of GDP & Lav Kush. I sure am having better luck with the Kush than I am the GDP. As in overall health of the plants, bud size and quantity. The Purps sure seem much more finicky and sensitive.

Peace from PV

You usually grow some of everything you have and then use the biggest, strongest best producing plants and make them mothers. You don't guess ahead of time.

im with la9 on that one. The strain is the strain, but each seed had its own phenotype. Usually there are 3 or so different varieties of the same strain, unless the breeder narrowed it down so every seed is the same. Some will have better roots systems than others, some bushier, some stretchy. Id clone all the tops, put the tops into flower, and see how fast the clones take off. Narrow it down from that data, then look at bud size potency and yeild to determine the final 4. I swear ive seen that set up before, not saying you copied pics, just design. Nice job

id try to keep at least one kush, maybe the easiest one to grow
La confidential, cause ive seen what they can do and its fucken incredible
sour deis and white russian, these both have nice pain kiling abilities for your patients

Sorry to hear about your wife bro. Did you hear about the research going on that cannabis can kill cancer cells and not harm normal cells? Ill find the link here and post it. Alls i know is if i had cancer id be knocking this cats door down

Thanks for the input and YOUTube Vid link. I'll show that to my wife tonight.

I will be putting the current veggies into flower in about 2-3 weeks, pending harvest time on the batch in flower now.

I think I'll post a grow journal to document the production of the diff strains and how well each cloned out. Stay Tuned. I'm pulling for SD, WR, Master K and LAC myself.

Crusader - the design is simple and based on both a lot of reading and input from a couple very patient and well versed guys at my local Grow Shop. I must have visited the store a half dozen times and bugged them with options and ideas before I dropped the coin. It paid off for them - as I've given 'em all my biz.

Here's a shot of the veggie room from last week:

once again nicely done boss. i dont know if you raise the lights for the picture, but like boneman said drop those floros about 5 inches away from the tops. I also see your hps are not adjustable? If you can drop the hps closer in the beginning of the flower cycle youll get denser nugs. I know it might be a pain in the ass cause they are all ducted together, either way whatever your doing now is working for ya.
