white fuzz on stem of clone with no roots

yeah a buddy of mine has this one clone that has this white fuzz growing on it i told him it's most probably mold. is there any way to stop the mold from getting any worse and saving his this clone he has three others but they are all differant strains and there doing fine. I told him he should toss it but he asked me to ask on here to see if there was a way to save it.

scrape the mold off at least, open the dome up once a day to let in fresh air and keep the rockwool cube/peat pellet or what ever he is using to clone moist, but not drenched in water.

I'd say getting in some fresh air should do the trick but as I'm sure you know those guys are fragile so handle with care when trying to remove the mold
