White hard crystals on buds?

When i got hit with mealybugs I found them on the stalk and they looked like cotton fuzz pill bugs, so I don't think it's mealybugs.

I can't say never seen anything like it, that looks like fresh perlite lol, its light enough for a fan to blow it around but if its actually an insect, i would ask your dude for a better pic.

I reckon it's a bud that got dropped in some perlite and/or the floor while being harvested and he's trolling you lol, what's that other shit stuck to it?
My laughing emoji was for the calyx stuck perfectly to the end of the sugar leaf. It looks like the burnt tip that should be there is stuck in the bud, where the calyxes go..

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ll let him know. Something just must have got into his tent. I know he’s building grow space in his basement, he must have carried it in.
