White Mushy Leaves

Auto Purple Haze (Fem)
  • 11 days since the plant emerged from the soil
  • Watered on day 7 after sprouting - tap water pH'd to 6.0
  • pH runoff was 6.3
  • PPM runoff was 1380
  • Indoor grow
  • PPFD between 250 - 300 (LED)
  • 16:8 light schedule
  • Temps range from 26C - 31C
  • RH has been between 60% and 80% (I live in a topical environment so RH goes up right before rains - have been supplementing with a humidifier when it drops too low).
I was planning on feeding and CalMag on Saturday (Day 15 after sprout).

I germinated this one with two other strains, same germination procedure, same transplant to larger pot, same watering, same lighting, etc. They're fine.

The only significant difference I've noticed is that the PPM runoff on the other two plants were 1810 and 1726. This is new soil (super soil) produced locally for cannabis. I haven't added anything to it other than water on the first watering.

The tips don't even seem yellow, they're almost white and they're mushy.

Any ideas one what's going on? Thanks!

You are way overthinking this early seedling.
All you have to do is give it literally a little tap - nothing else. Especially autos.

That medium ( if common potting mix ) is ALREADY NUTED. No runoff checks - No unnecessary calmag.

Leave it alone. New emerging seedling will develop pigmentation on its own.

The reason the “ runoff is high “ is because you are looking at a full non depleted mix. That plant has weeks of growth on that medium alone.

PLUS everytime you run excess water thru it - you leach it.

That seedling would have had a better start in a solo cup upfront to create a “ transplantable plug “ - more established roots instead of such a small start in an over saturated large container. This can lead to a damping off situation and that seedling will die because of overwater and suffocation.
