Sorry for the shakey images my hands shake a lot.

Anyone have an idea what this white stuff is? Is it good or bad?

First time grower. Medium is pretty much plain old garden potting soil. I water when the top 2 or 3 inches is fairly dry and then just enough to get it wet again. I do lightly mist in the morning and then just the plants not the soil. Been growing almost 3 weeks now. Advice greatly welcomed.

I heard it’s something normal depending what soil you use. Also read it wouldn’t harm the plant. But I would let dry out as much as you can. And don’t mist the soil. Gently with a stick move the soil around. On top(not deep). So the light can burn it up.
