White Russian: Peak Potency. Which day of flower do I chop???

Hi I am growing White Russian by Serious seeds in Soil (400w hps) 5 russians including a clone of Ak47 which was kindly donated by a fellow grower.

I am in day 66 of flower and have used one dose of Ripen and have been using just water up til this point. On day 62. My question is when should I chop the russians??? Should I monitor the trichomes and wait til they are amber /cloudy. To all those of you that have grown this strain What day of flower did you chop and wht drying method did you use. How long did you cure for and it would hurt to enclose a smoke report. Thank you so much! Peace Out! Culligula

just wait till the whole plant is 80% ready then chop. 80% ready is peak potency. serious seeds white russian nice smoke man enjoy.

just watch the trichomes as you said earlier, mostly milky for a more sativa type high and more amber for than overalll stoned feeling.

It would be ideal if you could post some picks...lol..Can you?...lol I am growing WW also for the first time. Iam 20 days into flowering. How do your buds look? Is the smell strong? Any info you could give me woul;d help me out...rally I am clueless as to what to expect.

Hi thanks guys for the reply. I have had a problem with my camera but I will defo post pics in the next day or 2 so you cheeky chappies can have a butchers. Ok I am now in day 68 of flower (Started flowering days when I saw the fluffy tops) I plan to take these monsters to day 77 or 78. (Xmas day) The only thing I am dreading now is the trimming,but I am sure the power of the russians will give me the strength to trim them with ease!lol. I am no rush and let me tell you guys I tried a popcorn bud last night and it literally blew my balls off clean of the handle.lol This is the bomb! Hail the russians!!! Will post pics shortly. I am monitoring the trichomes and they are just starting to turn cloudy from clear. Its a real joy to watching these Almighty Russians reach Peak Potency. Couchlock all the way. Peace Out. c...

Thats good to hear...I am so excited!! As I stated earlier, I am also growing WR. They seem to be growing slow..How long was it before you started getting bud sites?

White Russian is a Sativa/Indica blend is it not? Not sure why it's going so long unless you like the couchlock effect. Although by reading sites and articles the breeders info can often be off by a few weeks. How long veg and flower?

Hi Thank you for your reply's. Right sorted my camera out and the pics will be on here y this evening. Ok I vegged until they were around 12" tall, I then switched to the flowering period and counted the days of proper flower when I saw those female juicy fluffy tops, I started counting the weeks from then on. I used Hammerhead and Bigbud both together at half to full strength from start to wk 9, I have a unique technique and has worked for me each time with extravagant results, Just watered the monsters last night. 5 days left before I put them in darkness for 3 days for maximum resin production. I enclose some pics of my last grow which was Big bang and Euforia, This is the kind of yield I produce.

Anyway goodluck with your grow and I am sure I will give you dry mouthed superstars, a smoke report. I dont know wether this weed is best cured for a week or 2 before actually testing the real deal.

When drying I hang them in my tent for 5 days, then a further 5 days in cardboard boxes or in brown paper bags to ensure even dryness, before they are put into their homes. (Glass mason jars that go pop!). Will report back when the pics are here until then Peace Out!

if a plants not ripening in time it usally means there's not enough ventelation and air circulation. peace.

I've been growing WR ,for over 5 years now..(My favourite herb... )
Under a "fresh " greenpower 400 Watt ,it takes 9 to 11 weeks (of flowering 12/12 ) to fully mature...
Now ,with leds it takes a bit longer ....
(12-13 weeks -But the quality/ potency is way much better... )
One of the best 90's " old school " white strains....

A friend's current WR grow ....Under 135 Watts of Astir leds...
