Before you tell me to do 35% H2O2 or hydroguard aqua shield I've already read those threads… this case is slightly different because the only stems that are developing this slime are older cuttings that have wilted from the top…
The point of this thread is that I'm wondering if that white slime is really just a sign of plant death and not something to try to cure because 4 / 4 fresh cuttings placed in a aero cloner at the same time as 9 older cuttings (saved from an earlier failed method of cloning) did not exhibit slime while 7/9 older cuttings had a white slime and 2/9 older cuttings had a brown slime.
Water temp ~75 F
Water (originally pH'd at 5.7 checked 5 days later (when i found the slime) and the water had somehow gotten back to 7!?) currently pH'd at 5.8 again and includes 2 mL hydroguard
Air temp 70 F
Anything else worth mentioning?
