Ok so there's some white "film" or such that just popped up around the Starter plugs that my seedlings are formed in ...not sure what it is or what it means....

Need advice

As well, some of my stems are long and some seedlings are stretched and bending over

I didnt have them within a couple inches of the Fluo becaue I didnt want them to burn....

I read in another post that he had the same problem of stems stretching -

Several people told him to "bury"them

Can someone tell me what this is and how to accomplish this?

(please see pics)

Thanks

Jay

There is not much that you can do in the system that you are growing in unless it is just a fast rooting system. If it was me then i would use kabab skewers to help keep the seedling upright,You will have to tie a knot onto the skewer with two ends about10 cm each side. Then make sure that the piece of string you have just tied onto you stick ends up adout 5 mm under the plants leaves. The next step is to tie around the plant because you have tied onto the stick first the knot around the plant don't need to be that tight.Has for the white stuff did you rince the clay balls before useing them,I f you did then i can only think that it is some kind of mould make some covers for the tops of the pots to keep light and heat off.

Ok - well - I guess what I really want to know is - as far as the "mildew" -

Is it going to harm the plants?

Is it going to harm the roots?

I mean - if it doesn't hurn the plants - or is a sign of something wrong - then I won't trip on it -

But that is exactly why Im posting -

Is it something I need to worry about and/or do somethng about lest my plants die....

Thanks in advance

stays relevant.
Mildew RUINS the plants... Once there is mildew on it, you can count on it staying... the best you can do is suppress its ability to form on the outside of the plant by changing the pH of the exterior of the plant surface...
