White Widow questions

Hi everyone! This is my first time growing plants. I have some White Widow and unknown plants growing in my garden. I'm wondering if the little sticky hair-like things are what indicates when it's time to harvest? Also, in one of the pictures, there are big fat things; are these seed pods? I really should have read about removing males from the bunch long ago, but just learned this and think I've got a bunch of seeds. Can I save and use those later? How? Finally, I'm sorry this is such a stupid question, but can you just scrape off all the sticky stuff and ingest it, or do you have to smoke/vaporize it?
