White Widow Way too tall!

OK, 60 days old from seed, been flowering for 17 days running NFT system with Fox Farm nutes. After culling males, and a couple of poor starts, I have 3 plants going; 1 is about what I expected at 20" height, BUT the other 2 are out of control....1 is 64" and the other is about 54". Under (2) 400w HPS now, and I've raised them all the way to the ceiling...can't go any further. Top of the big one is now about 9" from the lamp, and I thought I'd just tie it up so further growth will go up the side of the reflector... OR should I go ahead and top this one back? Seems a little late to be cutting back, but I don't have many options left. Some nice buds at the top, but plenty of others everywhere else! Should I continue with only the flower nutes, or follow F. Farms recommendation for growth & flower solutions through harvest? What says y'all?

when my plants stretch more than expected in flower i just bend the branch at a 90 degree angle (some call it super cropping). this controls height and thickens the stem. i use the entire fox farm line and i follow their schedule with great results. if you dont have the solubles i highly recommend getting them. the difference in quality is more than noticeable and they last for a while so the upfront cost will be recouped many times over. i have never topped in flower before so i cant tell you one way or thee other but personally i would just bend them down. just make sure the stem does not break all the way.

Interesting idea, I guess I am wondering what would keep it from straightening back out again over a few days. Perhaps tying the top off in a gradual curve? Thanks for the F. Farm note on the solubles...I wondered if they were effective.

you snap the stem but make sure it does not break all the way.here is a pic i found that shows it clearly. 266660d1233617463-smokey-tries-supercrop-img_3092.jpg
