Who has grown successfully with LED??

I'm currently growing using 2 1000w HID lights that covers a 4x8 area for 25 plants. I've seen some ads about LED lights and CFL lights as well which are supposed to be just as good or better and cheaper than HID. If all that I'm reading about LEDs are true, I would be interested in investing in a kit.

Is there anyone here who has been growing LED for some time now with great success?? Can I use CFL as additional lighting to increase size and bloom at the bottom and sides of the plants?

Also, if I use 2000w to cover a 4'x8' space, how many LED watts do I need to cover the same amount?

man ive tried to ask this question- no one answerd me, i would like to see pictures of a plant flowering with LED's - ive yet to see that

LED grow lights work for Veg until the plant gets a foot tall after that you need something else.

Get 3 40 watt Gro Lux tubes and outgrow the LED lights you are reading about all the way thru VEG. Then switch to HPS to FLower, None of the LED lights are ready for doing the job by themselves yet, probably in the future but not yet. Youll just have to wait awhile.

Its not so much the lack of replies but the lack of using the search function. Ive been active on this board for a short while now and probably in the last month alone have been active in about a dozen threads about exactly that question. Start with the search function puppychulos, it gets tiring having to repeat ourselves over and over again.
