Agreed, if it's just one branch, water isn't likely the issue.If its just on one branch it could be pathogenic fungus or borer beetles.

Honestly this is what I was kinda afraid of, dug holes about 2.5 feet deep and 3 feet wide, and replaced all the soil with nice mix, but the dirt below is compact soil.It looks like an issue with the root zone.

Gopher go it..its a gonner dig near the base of the plant ..if its a brown and black.it died from over watering..if its all healthy green and white..A gopher got it..Theres no coming back from that..sorryView attachment 4188106 Title says it all. But did your whole plant wilt? Or just 1 maim branch?Looks exactly like one of mine last year. I had them outside in smartpots and the roots grew through the pots. I went to move the WW and I heard the ripping sounds of roots snapping. Next day she was like this...
