Why do my new leaves turn yellow after a few days.

I have two plants in DWC. After a week in I noticed yellowing. I checked the PH and it was off so I fixed it and now the PH is roughly 6.0.

A few days later new leaf set appears and they too were yellow. I added nutes to about 350ppm.

I let the nutes slowly rise to 450 as new green leafs appeared. I thought I was now ok.

Then I began to notice the new green leaves would yellow as another leaf set would appear and so on and so for. It followed that trend all the way till now and I am quite puzzled.

I played with my light height. I added another air stone to my reservoir. I flushed out the reservoir. I don't get what is wrong.

I am now a month into the grow and getting desperate.

check the roots out and see if you have some browning going on, look for other things too like slime or mold, fungus etc. If your ph is good and your ppm is good it has to be something wrong with how the roots are taking in nutrients and oxygen. Also...what kind of water are you using?

The roots did have some brown areas. I was told the nutes I am using, Flora series from general hydro causes staining as well.

To play it safe I added more air stones.(which I mentioned earlier) I now have 3 air stones in 3 gallons of water. So the water is bubbling like crazy.

I am using tap water that I have been drinking for years. The ppm of the tap water is 160ish. This is the same tap water I used to grow multiple other plants as well.

The temps are around the low 80's to high sixties when lights are out. The water temps are a bit high like 75 Fahrenheit. I tried a few methods but none worked to consistently cool the reservoir.

i always stick to 5.7, hydro should be between 5.6 and 5.8, I start with 5.6 to start with then as they get older rise the ph so by the time its harvest window its hitting 5.8... ph of 6.5 is for soil

Really? Well I'll see if I could keep it between 5.6-5.8 but seriously I don't see how a few tenths really matter.

yeah i'm no expert but if everything else is ok it looks like Phosphorus is being locked out

ur gonna want to keep ur ph between 5.0 and 5.9
just my opinion but ph 5.0 is way to low, this will do damage to the plants same as if the ph is 6.1 or higher, will get all sorts of nute lockouts

Ok hope it helps also have you flushed at all? It will help if you flush plants thru with just plain water phed. Then start feeding normal in a few days
