Maybe some people want one for defense against the illegal immigrants they have allowed to invade the country and the cartels they have armed.

What is an assault weapon? Are there any weapons that couldn't be assault weapons? If I hit you with a can of soup is the can of soup considered an assault weapon?

So, I didn't know that was the only assault rifle ever made. Ever.

There are hundreds of thousands of them but let's ban FUTURE sales of them because of one incident. Oh yea. GENIUS IDEA. Tell me Mr. Bucky, if that assault rifle wasn't in the hands of the crazy kid would it have shot anyone? Oh wait, you don't respond well to logic, rationality and factual information.

Everyone keeps saying assault weapon. There is no definition for it. Even the all mighty Obama administration can't even define it. That is why they can't do crap. the only weapons civilians can buy are semi automatic rifles in most states. Now the army uses the fully automatic version. Why can't we have a semi auto rifle when our gov't carries around full auto weapons that can just destroy all of us. There are hardly any new weapons beside black powder rifles that aren't semi automatic including handguns or what not. Black powder rifles are 50 cal. Why can people have something that will put an exit wound in you like a watermelon. Because it is your right. And if you opt out of having any weapon you are opting out on your last ditch personal defense. The people who think that I shouldn't have my firearm to fight the tyranny of evil with should just sush and just opt out of their right to possibly save themselves and their family if shit were to go down!

LOL Did I really? My my you like to assume. I don't making laws for stricter storage will fix anything. After all, you can't make someone keep their gun locked up if they choose not to. Just like a silly little sign on the side of the road isn't going to keep me from going over it's posted speed.

I'll play nice. Do YOU think assault rifles should be banned? *I'm sure you've stated your opinion I'd rather not sift through 30 threads and 800 posts to find it

and a locked up secured firearm will be very useful if and when the criminals begin waiting for you to unlock your vault and get your gun before they shoot you

Do you mean the one that wasn't used? The one that was all over the news reports? The one that was the scape goat? The one that was in the trunk of his car?
