Why does my plant only have 3 leaflets?

I have a plant I'm pretty sure it's a female. It has about 8 leaves and each leaf has three points only three! And I want to know that this late in vegitation it hasn't produced more points like the usual 7... So it's been growing for about 3 months and it's about 7.5 inches. I just want to know why it's is still this short...it looks healthy and luciously green. Right at the tip of the plant it has small hairs they are white/yellow/green about 2cm each and they are in a bundle...does this mean it is starting to bud? I don't water it daily and I've transplanted it once, it has been growing totally naturally in soil outdoors. I'm going to try to post a picture but I'm on a mobile device please respond I need answers!!!

Its normal. Leaf sets usually go 3,5,7,9 and sometimes 11 or more! youll get 5s soon enough....but maybbe not. either way no worries.
