Why does Some of My Plants Smell Planty When Done?

I just recently 2 weeks ago harvested my kandy kush. That was the first true strain i grew right. It was loaded with crystals and tasted like bud not like a plant. I also harvested super skunk and that looked good, but tasted like a plant. Is there something i should know about what strains to grow in soil? Thanks for the help.

how long did you dry and cure before you consumed it when it "tasted like a plant"??

Sounds like it simply didn't dry/cure properly possibly try curing longer may help improve taste unless it was overdried

you have to kill the chlorophyll (greeny taste and smell) by putting them in the dark to dry

I will make sure it is darkness for longer next time. The kandy kush always tasted good for some reason. I had height problems because i waited to long to flower. A bud fell off and i tried it early. It never tasted like a plant like my others did. Thanks.
