So I just diagnosed a calcium deficiency in one of my plants. Upon doing a little research, many places said to flush soil and then add missing nutes. I'm more than happy to simply follow directions with something I don't fully understand. But my question is why flush with deficiency? I absolutely understand flushing with excess and lockout and had to do that on my first grow right before this. But it just seems to me that with a deficiency, nutes should just be able to be added to the soil.
.
Wondering if anyone can explain why flushing with deficiency is beneficial. Or if they think it is beneficial at all.
