hey now i watch tv and in alaske its the position they don't worry about but if ur growing with the right paper work your going down town..This is in the Alaska forum. We don't go to jail for personal grows and for having pot in the house.
I was robbed. Some kids climbed into a fourth story window and took my stash and most all of my plants.
I called the cops. They politely showed up and greeted me and then proceeded to document every item that was missing, including details of each plant, the color of the pots they were in, quantity of pot stolen... They took pictures and fingerprinted, discreetly asked the neighbors if they had seen anything and then affirmed me that they would get me back my medicine if they found the brats.
I just with I had renters insurance - with a police report (which documented the value of that was stolen) I could have been handsomely reimbursed.
Pretty good reason to have a card in my opinion.
/e I didn't see that this was in the Alaska forum
WHAT? are you saying weed is legal for recreational use in alaska and you can grow 24 plants??..but if you are medically ill you can only grow 6?? LOL bullshitWe (Alaska) are allowed 24 plants per household. With the MMJ card we are only allowed 6.
That's the law. The only reason I can see to get the mmj card is for transportation. It's a screwy law. 24 plants are covered under by an Alaska Supreme Court case as Right to Privacy. You can grow 24 plants but you can't possess over 1/4 lb. You can't be in possession outside of your home without risking a $50 citation. Over a 1/4 lb is a felony for some reason. Keep it under a qp and you are fine.WHAT? are you saying weed is legal for recreational use in alaska and you can grow 24 plants??..but if you are medically ill you can only grow 6?? LOL bullshit
This is utter bullshit. While illegal to carry openly, law enforcement's maximum penalty is a citation similar to a speeding ticket. It's $50 for less than an oz and a little bit more if you have an oz to 4 oz. Over 4 oz will have you carted off to jail.If you leave your home with any amount of marijuana you are going to jail!
Ok well there you go thats why you need your card then. I seen on cops in Alaska. The one cop said they can have it in the home but once they leave there home with it, then it becomes our problem he said. Maybe thats just how he feels about it but thats what the man said. And this cop also let the guy go he had a 1/4 on him. This is utter bullshit. While illegal to carry openly, law enforcement's maximum penalty is a citation similar to a speeding ticket.
