Hi all was just wondering if any of you have had good results growing with a wick feed system?

Its my first grow and im using a coco and clay pebble mix, using Ionic Grow and Hesi Super-Vit as nutrients.

I have an unknown Indica M/F? and a Fem Cheese at the moment, under a 400w HPS

Im hoping to move up to an Atami Wilma 4 pot system within the next month or so. But am currently feeding them with a homemade wick feed system as i am in work during the day and cant be there to do it at regular intervals.

Any Tips would be great.

I would think it might be plausable, never tried it, tho my thoughts are that a wick feed system would keep the medium constantly moist, not sure if that's good for mj. they don't like constant wet roots, they like a dry period. I don't use any pumps or other type of automatic feeding, just feed them once or twice a day as I would any house plant and have good success.

Makes sense D.R DT. Would i be right in thinking that in the dry period that the roots would also benefit from an increased oxygen intake?

Im just thinking that whilst the growing mwdium is dry/drier. That oxygen would penetrate it better?

Thanks for your reply dude!

I would assume that that is the idea, roots not only take up nutes they also take up oxygen, it seems to me that that is the science behind it, notice that DWC systems use air stones to oxygenate the nute. 'course just my opinion.
