Please take in account the center on the bottom where it is supposed to sit on a deck rail, I would assume it is at least 1-1.5 gallons of space not utilized within the pot.

I am restricted on space this grow, I want 4 of these bad boys for my next 24"x48" grow area. These would be perfect for a 4x4 tent. You could fit 8 of these in a 4x4 tent no problem and utilize almost all space.Farm&Fleet

Roots like to grow out instead of down, or so I have read. I would love to see what kind of monsters can come out of these bad boys. I have not had the pleasure of growing from anything more than 7 gallons before. 9 to 11 Gallons would be enough to veg for a good sixty days then do your flip.
