Wierd questions!

question 1

HEY im wondering should i keep my cfl lights close to my plant?
i have my 4 cfls about 1-2 in. away from my plant but every time my cfl's are this close to my plants i notice the branches and the leaves bundle closer to the plant and when the lights are further away from the plants the branches seem more relaxed and natural ALSO the leaves tend to be a little softer when the lights are further.

question 2

i sprouted my plant in MGMC potting soil with 50MGMC/25PERLITE/25VERMICULITE is it fine to water it till the top of the pot(solo cup 8oz) i cut 4 slits with a knife at the bottom of the pot to drain. IS IT FINE TO WATER THIS MUCH

Double threads are annoying.

Water till it leaks at the bottom is what I do. Cfl lights about 3 inches away.

what wattage cfl are we on about?
3 inches may be ok for smaller ones - my 300W cfl generates way too much heat to be that close however 4 to 5 inches seems to be ok

im using 4 26w cfls so they put out about 100w total

ya if they are high watt cfls they get pretty hot about an inch or two away if they seem happier then they are happier is usually my rule

the 26 watt watt energy savers still get hot i've burned plants with them

Yea, i burned a few leaves off of one of my plants with those suckers... they make a good supplemental light, i made a box out of one of those reinforced u-haul boxes, works well, it cost 5 bucks
