Is this a heat issue or what? It gets really quite hot here during the night and I can't control thst heat... I.e. its day outside and lights off during the day. I'm tempted to just scrap this grow completely at this stage. It was an old mother plant.

Certainly seems that way. Timers are known for malfunctioning. It happened to me a few times back in the day. Gotta check on those things regularly.
