Wife's B-day Sunday.... HELP

gogrow

confused
My wife's 25th birthday is Sunday, and I have NO FUCKIN CLUE what to get for her..... So i'm asking my RIU family for help (hopefully sarah and priscilla and other ladies) on some ideas...... Lemme give you a brief synopsis for those of you that dont know me that well....

We are a young couple, with two young children, both struggling to make it through college..... We dont have much money, and as such, she NEVER spends any money on herself...... everything is about the family for her, so i want to do/buy something just for her, but really dont know where to start... I know plenty of things that she would LIKE, but there are plenty of things that she NEEDS.... the woman has like 3good bra's b/c she puts everything towards the children's betterment.... AND she will take on anything extra in her schedule to make more money/further our life..... She goes to school 5days a week, cleans houses, sells avon, and is ALWAYS looking for more.... no matter what.

For obvious reasons, I'd like to spend some money and have her pampered all day, but at the same time, she has things that she really needs to have.... so my only thought at this point is to give her like $200 (ALOT for our young family), under the condition that it can ONLY be used for herself....

but I would like the input of you guys first.... Help please??

You chick sounds alot like mine. And if i tried to hand mine the money for just her, she would prob say no and give it back. Maybe get her a gift cert for a day spa in the same amount. She could get a massage or whatever she wants and not have to worry how much it cost.

Another thing i have done for my chick is Get family pictures! They love that shit! And if you are like me you probably havent gotten around to do it cause its a pain in the ass to get the fam together and take pics but she will apreciate that more than anything. It would be something she could look at everyday and remeber that you did it just for her.
Hope this helps, its all i got buddy.

+rep for mentioning the family pictures.... she's been talking about getting some done for a few weeks now, as we dont have any new ones with the youngest one yet.... They're cheap, I can throw that in without a problem:clap:

get her flowers, chocolates and a balloon delivered.

A bottle of nice perfume and some nice but inexpensive jewellery from the kids.

LOL!

Got your call GG, just haven't woken up enough to return it, I still sound like Barry White at the moment...

Hmmm, I second the family pictures idea, those are always nice!

Zoo membership has done the trick for me before, you can save a lot of money if you go just a few times that year and let's face it, the zoo rocks if you have one nearby. Plus it's a good family activity. I am biased though as me and my lady both love the zoo.

Does she like going to shows? Buy her some tickets if there is a good show playing in town. That reminds me, my fiance's bday is upcoming and CATS is in town. Score!

Combine the spa idea and the family pics idea. She gets a massage and her hair done so she's looking good for the pic while you take care of getting the kids ready. She gets treated nicely then has a pic to remember it by with the people she loves the most(presumably) in it.

Yea I think this was the best idea in the thread.

Dude.. you love her, you know what she loves. Give her something sentimental (not necessarily material). Do something that she finds really sweet (make her dinner, bring her breakfast in bed, go lay under the stars, etc.) just do something that you know she would find very thoughtful. It takes more thought to do something you know she loves or something you two did when you first started dating or something than to go out and buy something..

my 2 cents.

best wishes.
