Wild lettuce/ opium lettuce

I'm new to this. I want to try and prepare wild opium lettuce. But I'm not sure how to properly identify the right plant to use. Can anyone tell me where to find this?

Didn't know that was a thing... Just go to your department store and get seeds to grow. Does it have to be wild? Its not illegal to grow breadseed for ornaments or seeds. Direct sow them in fall and in late spring they will bolt and flower by summer.

Im sorry what is that? Is it the same as the flower? I ask because if so, maybe I can tell you what a Gardner I met sometime ago said. Maybe its something i have never heard of either. you can pm if you wish not to say....

disregard I looked it up. apparently you can just look on the side of the road. I know ive seen it all over. Interesting to say the least. It grows much like the poppy which is as easy as a dandelion.
