No mushroom is safe to eat unless you are 100% sure by reading books and spending lots of time in the field.

This one gets huge. The last time I let it grow it took three Menards sacks to haul it away. And before i started to pay attention to it there use to be sprouts of it in 4 or more places. Since then I remove it as soon as possible. I'm worried about the tree as it is a +200 year old White oak.

I had that one a couple years ago on a willow by the pond. It took three years to progress from the top to the bottom pic.
