I would like to see how this turns out. a 500 cfm pulling thru 2 carbon filters. And the Hoods.
I am curious as to the size of your grow area.
I agree with PurrrrP, Inline you will have less restriction on the overall cfm.
Being personally not opposed to having the filter(s) inside (some people just can't have them outside the grow.)
I wonder how this would work.
(oooooooo) Filter

000000000/Hood-----Hood---Fan.
I am not good at drawing with the keys but.
Maybe the Filter positioned above a hood, then inline to the next hood. then FAN to your 6" exhaust tubing, and out the grow area.
My thoughts are Maybe 2 filters will slow air current? will 2 bends greater than 60 Degrees slow current.
How much CFM will be left after pulling thru 2 carbon filters?
A ton of people will say never vent your lights with air from the grow area "Just makes things that hottter"
"Like forcing hot air into a hairdryer, This will only make things hotter." thats what I keep hearing.
I don't have a problem and as the weather outside changes I don't think that will end up being a problem for me.
My next and final mandatory purchase is a filter. So again I am interested to see how this turns out, what you end up doing and how the performance is.
so you have gotten it from all angles
some say it should werk, some say, don't restrict the airflow to the hood. some say, Place hoods inline.
Seems like everyone is trying to help. Keep it simple, try not to slow air flow, we are all watching!
