Will adding T5 lights to my LED grow help or hurt?

I have a 200 watt california light works solar flare full cycle LED grow light in a 2 x 2.5 tent. I have added 4 2ft HO T5 lights in the corners of my tent. I was told that since my LED is 5 watt diodes that the plants basically won't even utilize the light produced by the T5 because the LED is higher power. Anyone know if these extra T5 lights are a waste? Should I leave them? Should I remove them?

I figured that since I have seen other pre built grow boxes with T5 supplemental lighting in the corners and a main LED grow light, that this would be the ideal lighting conditions for my tent.

I am in the 3rd week of flowering and I added a 23 watt soft white CFL to the bottom of my chamber and after the day period I noticed the little white dots covering the flowers, don't know whether the CFL helped this happen or it was just time, but I have a lot of smaller buds I didn't want to trim off, that where not in direct light, so that's why I added it.

Who told you the plants wouldn't "use" the T5 light?

That will work good. Get good bulbs. Zoo med flora suns, cheapest at drfostersmith.com

I'm new to this whole thread thing do bear with me but I have a closet grow of 2 100watt leds that use 26watts 1 t5 1bulb 2ft fixture and 1 18watt cfl at 800 lumens I put them in the soil sept 17 it's 0ct 10th let me know what you think there still in veg I plan on vegging for another 3 weeks b4 turning it over into flower dnt worry imma switch out those lights with some stronger leds and side lighting cfls

I think you just need to try and get some of the purple stems green again and you are set.

nope check this out added veg only led to my plasma gro other day sits over my 1liter pots for Added resin

It will add to your lower/side lighting, which will help a lot if you don't train or mainline the plants. Before i got into main lining i added side lighting and saw a huge increase in lower buds but now i strictly ML so i have 8-32 main colas on each plant with no "popcorn" buds...

dam i just noticed how old this thread is.
