Will an inline duct fan push enough air?

Another quick question.

Will a 4 inch inline duct fan push or pull enough air to operate a 4" carbon filter?

My 180 cfm vortex fan is way overkill for this current grow box and it's loud and it uses a lot of electricity.

Will this fan have enough power? My box is 16x16 x 42 inches. This states that it is 50 cfm, but I am thinking it will likely bog down and become a 10 cfm.

I could also buy a 6" inline fan and downsize to the 4" filter.

I only use my inline fans as boosters, do you have an intake fan attached to a dust filter? If you're creating positive pressure you might be okay. Is there not enough room for a proper fan? You might be best off getting/making a speed regulator for your larger fan.

Yea, I have a 180 cfm Vortex fan with 4" Phresh filter and fan speed controller. This thing is great, but it's bulky and noisy and an eye sore.. With the speed controller on it buzzes. It's not a loud buzz, but it's irritating as heck :)

I have an air purifier that moves a lot of air, but it's noisy also.. My goal is to make this cab quiet, light proof, and efficient.
I'm trying to keep it around 100 watts total power usage. I think my vortex draws 150 w.

Maybe the old computer fan with a piece of carbon filter? I doubt that works very well to control stink though.

Alot quieter than my expelair I have as an INTAKE.......yes I use the pc fan as an outtake in my 6+3 veg room.....more powerful......and that's the truth..
