Will harvested plants regrow?

I am located in Central Calif and an wondering if the harvested plants will regrow during the late fall and winter for an early start in the spring. Kind of like pruning a fruit tree. Crazy?
 
they can regrow. I'm not sure of the climate in California during the winter so I'm not sure. It'll probably be the wrong amount of light though and they'd probably start in flower
 
The climate here is night temps to 30 with spikes to the middle 20s. Foggy, and rain. My grow store guy said give them to Feb and see what happens. I have plenty of sources for clones if necessary.
 
I think you'd have better luck if you planted autos because of the lack of light during the winter
 
plants die off in the winter months. unless you are going to re-veg indoors under a light.
