the last week is the week the bud gets HUGE and crystally as shit. id wait as long as you can, just make sure there are no white hairs, also make sure the crystals are cloudy and not clear. premature bud isnt as good as when you wait it out, but id say its better than waiting too long and ending up with amber colored crystals.

they look gorgeous though, but definately not ready yet. do what you have to do, but id wait.

As long as you want it for your smoke instead of a really big yield, you will have some really nice bud,for that vacation!!!hell ya ,one week won't hurt resin! it would only grow a very little in that last week, just make sure you use only pure water...later

Waiting until all of the pistils turn color may result in a late harvest. Some say 50%-80% is a good sign. However, in my opinion the clarity of the trichomes is really the best indicator. I use a small pocket microscope that I picked up at RS. I check every 2-3 days when the plant is getting close and look for milky white clouding.

It is a common belief that when you harvest affects the type of high you get and in my experience this is true (at least to some extent). For me earlier harvests result in a little more heady and energetic high while late harvests are a bit more narcotic.

Depending on how long you will be away you may want to consider giving them water (no nutes), turning off the light(s) and just letting them go until you return rather than cutting them down. They will continue to bulk up for a couple of days even in the dark, which is when they do most of their growing anyway.

Since the lights aren’t on they will not dry out as fast and it is likely (given the lower temp and higher humidity) that you can return, give them some water and turn the lights back on if you want to bring them further along. You should also turn off any big fans and turn down the air conditioning as this will dry them out, just provide some way for a little air circulation so you get some air exchange.

Even if they don’t recover you planned on cutting them anyway so what’s the harm as long as you are not going away for more than a week or so you should be fine.
