I have just recently decided to start growing indoors.. as such i orderd some quality genetics. any time i have grown it has been outdoors in soil, and this is the medium i choose to use indoors to get started for stability. In my research i came across alot of great information about growing in hydroponics.
How ever i see conflicting info everywhere about the taste or lack of from growing in hydroponic systems.
What I have found out is, When cultivated in soil, the spectrum of terpenes is more developed and gives your plants more flavor. terpenes are a large and varied class of hydrocarbons. Terpenes and terpenoids are the primary constituents of the essential oils of many types of plants and flowers. Essential oils are used widely as natural flavor additives for food, as fragrances in perfumery, and in traditional and alternative medicines such as aromatherapy. Or as it relates to canabis, provides the rich, distinct, and elaborate - tastes and smells.
For the connoisseur who is not worried about growing fast and growing big because there is no supply and demand to keep up with, is hydro worth looseing the super lemon taste of super lemon haze, or the chocolate yummyness of chocolope?
