in currently on 12/12 been there for a week ... light comes on at 8pm and goes off at 8 am. will it be ok to go from that to 4pm on then 4am off...
Will it be ok to change up 12/12 ??

One small change will be fine. Just don't decide you don't like it and keep switching it up.

will do ty, i had trouble with a timer not kicking off and wanted to keep a better eye on my plants for now on they was on 24 hr just about it be fore i caught it

Yeah shit happens. As long as it doesn't keep happening you'll be fine. Good timers are cheap make sure you get a few.
