SITUATION:
The Grow Space is a 3x5 tent and it has a 2x4x6 multi-tier steel wire rack. On the bottom half of the rack, there is a 270 watt HLG 300L RSPEC.

I bought some seeds and want to start off with some autos.

QUESTION:
The distance between the top of the 5 gal fabric pot and the light is a good 28”.

Will this suffice for 2 autos?

I cant think of a reason why it wouldnt be. I have run 2 photoperiod plants under 135w of hlg. I wouldnt blast those seedling with that light at that distance unless its dimmed way down.

EDIT: you should get rid of that rack. Those plants may need the extra head height
 
@Boatguy Thanks for the reply. The question was if the space between pot and light will be ok to fit 2 autos? The distance is only 28 inches.
I don’t have space to remove the rack and is needed for the other things I am growing.

28" is around where you will need to keep the light from the canopy/tops throughout the grow.... So no. That height will work for a few weeks into veg, then you will be kinda screwed.

I grow in a 2x2.5 and that is enough room for 2 max. If i were you i would ditch the racks, and dedicate one side to the veggies, and the other to the girls. Same light on all of them. Or do the girls in the middle and the rest around them.
