Will LET increase yield outdoors?

Hey guys. Let me start off by saying I got a late start on my outdoor garden this year so I didn't top or use any LST to my plants in advance. I was just curious if anyone has have ever done experiments that concluded LST will increase yield? Since they are out doors sky is the limit and even the bottom of the plants receive full spectrum of sun throughout the day. I understand that LST will produce more top nugs (and who doesn't love top nugs) but bigger buds are also more susceptible to mold later in the harvest season (especially here in oregon) I figure I have about 2+ more months of veg before flower. So the poll is... go for height (natural) or LST them into bushes? Remember this is OUTDOOR with unlimited space. Thanks! Strain is oregon diesel

It depends on the strain and where you are(your duration of daylight). It looks to me that you are growing an indica dom. In that case I would agree with chemplegm's advice.

Not really much of a need to top outdoors unless you're looking to make the plants smaller/wider because you're limited by height. If you need to stay under a fence or something, then sure top it, but other than that there really isn't too much of a need. People typically top and train to maximize the amount of light they can use, but outdoors that's not much of an issue because you have the sun
