So I want to start small and cheap more as a hobby than for yields....
So I've come to the conclusion that I will buy 1x300 watt led lamp and that's going to be my only investment.
If I need carbon filter setup then my startup costs would go up so much, why? Because then I would have to buy a tent, vents, filters, which is about $250-$300 while the lamp itself is going to cost me only$150 including shipping.
That's why, I'm planning to grow 2 low odor varieties:
3 x Durban Poison
2x Blue Mystic
They will be in a storage room that is 1x1 meter x 3.5 meters tall that has 2 narrow yet tall windows (about 20 cm wide x 55 cm tall), they allow good light, the storage room has white walls so it is receives good light albeit not direct due to the narrow windows and it faces south, on top of that I will put reflective foil on the walls, this is in order to save up on energy costs so that they can receive natural sunlight during the mornings, then the LED unit turns on for 12 hours during veg phase.
The door to that storage room is not hermetical, in fact it doesn't close too well, the storage room has windows and one will be slightly opened (planning to start on early March in Czech Republic, so don't want much cold air) This storage room is directly in my room and that room is divided by a wall and an entrance that has no door.
Stealth level: This is Czech Republic, 5 or less Marijuana plants per person are not illegal and carry a maximum fine of about $650 USD and no jail, no arrest nor criminal record. People everywhere here are very light about Marijuana and most young people smoke, my neighbors on the same floor and the one below are young and some of them smoke marijuana, I don't know my neighbors on the floor above which is the penthouse.
Floors are tall.
I don't think a young person would ever snitch up on me, only old people could.
I hold meditation sessions in my flat twice a week, they are free and the people are really chill but could get disappointing or something if the flat stank like marijuana.
If it really stank I was planting to buy one of those marijuana neutralizers for $15, also in meditation sessions we use incenses.
Theoretically, the only problem would be if my neighbor upstairs (if we assume he's an old snitch) (flats are tall so his flat is 4 meters above mine) would open his kitchen windows and smell a very obvious marijuana smell every time and then would try to see where the smell is coming from and would go to the floor downstairs and find the smell coming out of the front door of my apartment.
In other words, what can I expect in terms of smell from growing 3 durban poisons and 2 blue mystics in a storage room with windows?

i know there are strains out there sold as such, but even if there really is a strain that does reduce the level of stink--cannabis stinks. if you live in a flat, you definitely need a filter. why do you think you can't install a filter in the small area that you are wanting to use? vegetative stage you could easily get away with just keeping them enclosed inside of their grow area, but once you start to flower, the girls will start to smell.
