will my lighting be enough ? help

hi i have a 250w blue spec cfl 6400k for 6 plants will this be enough thanks also how far away from the plants shoud i hang it thanks.........

it depends.....how big do you want your plants? if you do a sog u can get by on it, although i'd recommend about 500w or more. you'll wanna get some more lighting if not doing a sog for sure. these are my beliefs so if anyone disagrees dont take it personal or attack me.

You would want the cfl's about 2 inches away from them as cfl's dont cause alot of heat unlike a HPS. I would also say its best to get a bit more light for fllowering as they need as much as they can get during that stage to produce quality bud. I use a 400watt HPS it cost$ but its worth it. Take a look at my grow. :leaf:

I just sprouted 2 inside, right now im using a normal light bulb, and a swirly one haga, just to get them going.
but like in a week or so i need to know what kind of florescent light to get and how much it cost, and the watts and everything.
and what kind of bulb to get for flowering, and the watts and everything, i know its gotta be hps bulb but yea..

do you think a 300w cfl red spec and 3 20w cfl 1300 lumens each will be enough for 5-6 plants thanks.........for flowering

you want at least 10,000 lumens per square foot. i personally would prefer tohave the 360w spread out in 40w forms spread all over making sure each plant gets as much light. i had 18 cfls-15 40w 2600 lumens 3000k and 3 42w 2800 lumens 2700k for an area 4-5 square feet. down to 12 at the moment cuz my cat broke 6 trying to catch a mouse. forgot to say this b4, also i am only growing one plant in that set up.
