Will scrogging affect overall height?

I wanna know if Afghan Kush Ryder (World of Seeds) or if Auto Blue Mystic (Nirvana) will grow to their full potential height if scrogged? I've never grown before and am trying to figure out what the best seed for my setup will be. I know they grow anywhere from 15-31in and I want to scrog to get a fatter plant but will scrogging make the plant grow sideways more and less high? or sideways AND high?

u dont wanna scrog autos but u can sea of green them....

well the idea with scrog is to keep all buds at the same height weaving the branches thru a screen , so unless you put the screen that high .. they will get wide and stay at the same height

So lets say I had a 19" high grow spot. If I scrog at 17", would that keep all of my plants (or one plant) at or around 17" and just let it continue sideways. Or is scrogging to where the height stays the same just now the plant will expand sideways instead of just vertically?

And why don't you scrog autos? is their a reason behind it?

usually you put a screen 15 to 20 in. above your grow medium and let the plant grow to it ... but i dont use it myself so you would have to ask those that do for more info ..

You don't want to scrog autos because they don't have the time to be trained like a regular plant. Autos usually start flowering after two weeks and don't branch much at all. If you sea of green them that would work. Just pack them bitches in there one plant per square foot and bam. If you start growing photo period plants that's when it's time to scrog.

Probably, a litany of factors goes into smell.since you have such I small space I will assume u are growing stealth. If so you will probably limited horizontally as well so more than 2-3 plant is probably out of the question. Therefore you could easily have two stealth grows one for flowering and finishing and one for sprouting seedling stage. Alot of autoes run longer than advertised so I would start a few then wait forty days or so and start some more under cfl's to keep a harvest going every 1-2 months. I'm sure someone will be able to give you better advice. Good luck

plant 2 pr 3 wait 3 weeks plant another 2 or 3 and keep doing that with autos ull have pretty much a perpetual sea of green and ull be pulling some every 2 or 3 weeks ull be set

Yeah me and the roommate were thinking either one or two in his closet and the same for mine. Space is limited as hell but I have a walk in closet (I think like 10'H x 7'L x 5'W) and his spot in his closet is around 27"W x 55"L x 5'4"H. We are trying to do it stealth as possible and rotating to where when we trim and dry we've already got another one started but we really wanna see how our first plants are going to work and turn out. Really my only biggest fear is the smell. We've been running our electricty more now to make it seem like not much has changed when we leave something on for 24hrs so I hope that covers that problem. We live in a apt complex where the dudes upstairs are from Mexico and they do coke and shit so they wont be a problem, our neighbors across from us smoke as well as the neighbor above him so neither will they. Its just the other neighbors I know nothing about but the windows are not facing them so I'm not super worried i guess lol

Can i ask what scrogging is and also sea of green.....

read, this is one of the baddest ass scrogs iv ever seen. the biggest benefit I have noticed is lower buds will tend to be bigger. keeping everything growing at the same height is great also if your running a floro setup as you need those lights as close as possible.

In a scrog you use a net or screen to grow one plant into a bush that will produce many nuggets between 3-6 inches. In a sea of green you use many plants and grow them vertically with minimal branching to harvest just colas

Ok so if we are growing one plant in a low height container with alot of width its better to SCRoG whereas, if we grow one in container with alot of height but low width its better to do SoG right?

Now you got it. But u can't scrog autos because of the limited life span

Yea and they turn over so fast you can get a rotation going and harvest every 2-4 weeks

Most of the time when ppl scrog they train it to grow horizontally under the screen, autos grow straight up and start flowering early like after 2 weeks so there is not a veg period suitable for training in auto varieties.
