Hello Friends, I have a quick question for you folks. Please refer to the attached image: So these girls have been in veg since Nov 18th and have been in an RDWC system under HLG 550V2 rspec lights with plans to flip January 15th.
The row on the left is Blueberry Kush and the row on the right is God's Gift.
In hindsight, had I done this grow with only the God's gift in the system, I'm confident the scrog would be sufficiently filled by now. Unfortunately, I went with mixed strains this time around and now I'm wondering how or if the short and bushy blueberry will catch up in surface area coverage and yield to the God's Gift. Do you think the blueberry will stretch to fill the scrog during flower? Looking at things now, I can't imagine how the blueberry will compare in yield to the God's gift when things are said and done - all I know is folks keep saying short and bushy is good but so many leaves are covering so many tops.. I hope the Blueberry stretches!

All I can say is damn! Who knows how to answer your question, but what nice looking plants. It appears the kush is going to probably be a little shorter, but regardless you're going to do very well.

much appreciated @turbobuzz - I do agree though, think the kush will definitely be shorter and it might be wishful thinking to hope the heavy indica will stretch during the first few weeks of flower.
Just a thought I've been wrestling with the last few weeks and wanted to get your guys' opinions hehe. thanks for the encouragement though :) will be sure to post more updates

No I do not believe they will catch up in size. The larger plants will also stretch during the transition period and likely will over shadow the smaller plants from the looks of it.

Are your plants fixed in their positions? or could you move them around?

Just the 3 gods gift would likely fill that first plant support well, 2 on one side with a space in the middle, and one on the other side in the middle.

Then maybe you could put the smaller kush plants into the other support system in the back ground.

FYI these are plant supports or trellises. A SCROG would have the screen much lower down, and the plant would have been woven and grown into the screen. You would have been flowering already if you had grown these plants as an actual scrog because all that veg growth would have been spread out horizontally, instead of creating a big bush. I'm not hating though, your plants look nice.

Hey @Thundercat - agreed. I do think the God's Gift will creep over and dominate most of the scrog, unfortunately, the RDWC system is pretty set with not much ability to move it around.

The plants themselves can be moved from bucket to bucket but the buckets themselves cannot move. regardless, I kinda like each strain in it's own row for now. I just want to be sure I get the most yield out of the 5x5 as I can.

As far as the scrog in the background, I cannot move them to the back as those girls are in coco for now hehe.
I do still consider lowering the scrog however. the scrog is set at 15' inches above the "soil line" if worst comes to worst, I can lower the scrog and train the smooshed plants from there hehe.

Hi,
Blueberry marijuana strain is an Indica dominant hybrid. The herb is known for pleasant berry aroma and delicious flavor. This marijuana strain was created thanks to dedicated work of a breeder named DJ Short.
