Will this heal?

in an attempt to slow the growth of one of the main branches on my plant, I squeezed the stem and tried super cropping but the middle of the stem had already become too wood-like so only the outer layer of the stem was damaged. It's been 4 days now and it's looking kinda bad. Will this still knot up like a sucessfull super cropping or is this branch going to die?

How's it looking above the wound? If she's growing on then you're probably okay...
You could put a couple of splints on her if needs be...
