Found it at radio shack and wanted to make sure it was the right one before a friend hooks it up

Would be helpful to know what you want it to work with. Only have half the picture here.Found it at radio shack and wanted to make sure it was the right one before a friend hooks it up

If you're running 2 185-1400s and wiring the dim wires together you will need a 50K ohm potentiometer. As long as your cooling solution is adequate they won't run hot, but it might be nice to be able to dim them.
On the potentiometer, the middle connects to the wiper (dial). The right or left are connected to the ends of the resistance material. The dial should turn normally when the middle and left contacts are used, in reverse when the middle and right contacts are used.Which points get connected any two?
Positive dim lead goes to center pin, negative dim to the left side pin (when the pins are on the bottom).r

Thanks for the help found a 50k and came across 2 100k for future use
With output voltage of 52-86 you could only run 2 36v COBs or one 72v. For 5x36v you need a driver that puts out around 180v. Might as well just go to 6 COBs on a HLG-240H (238v), or find something that puts out 180v. I don't know which one that is offhand. How about 5 cobs running on a Pairui LGSU-1400D driver?
Which one do I need please?

The driver is part of the cutter mau5 grow kit and I added an extra cob per specs. It's a 250 watt driver so it should be able to run that. Knowing myself I'm sure I'll replace the driver later and go bigger but I need to set it up as is with 4 cob kit plus 1With output voltage of 52-86 you could only run 2 36v COBs or one 72v. Oh, I didn't know that was in the kit. I was just going by a data sheet. Guess it must work then. The driver is part of the cutter mau5 grow kit and I added an extra cob per specs. The 1050 ma one.BobCajun which would be the best HLG 240 to run 6 cobs on? This stuff boggles the mind so many possibilities
Yup, any one. The dim leads only put out 10v at 0.1 ma, so very little current.Yes Potentiometer so any 100k ohm. Going by radio shack
