Will this work

So i havent done any hydro setup before and im wondering if this will work.. im very invested and really dont have much more money or time for this project.. ive been back and forth at home depot like twenty times.. here we go boys.. 4 5' by 5' square post 7' feet long, 25 3'' net cups , 800 gph pond pump, 1'inch to 3/4 inch to 1/2 pvc out of rez (couldent find 1 to 1/2 adapter fitting.) just coming out of rez then 1/2 inch pvc manifold with however ts and elbows needed for manifold. then some threaded pvc fittings to some brass threaded fittings to a 1/2 inch viynle tubing that just gos over brass fitting and secured with hose clamps , then at the end i have another brass fitting with clamp to a brass end cap.. im planning on just pokeing holes in tubing with a sewing needle for a mister stream insted of 360 sprayers..or smallest drill bit i found forgot size 1/32 or something . smallest they sell .gunna just go with poking holes as to try to create a mist. 1 inch conduite fittings with o rings male to female for drain and then 1 inch pvc drain line into a 2 inch conduit fitting connected to rez.. and a airstone in rez.. rez is a 27 gallon heavy duty type storage bin . the black and yellow one at depot.. its a fake aeroflo system i guess but seems a little more heavy duty version .im aware that brass fittings arent sought after but its the only way to rig the vinyle tubing.. will this be good enough to rock out is what im wondering and what problums might accur or do i need to consider. with two 6 hundred hps lights. . any bashing is fine just need a answer to my worries.. sorry about spelling im plowing through this post. thanks

well its just you can't always guarantee somethings gonna work. People have grown in sand so yeah i think your system will work, of course with hydro your gonna need to constantly monitor the ph. Can something go seriously wrong? sure Will you have one of the best grows riu has seen? Possibly. See where im going with this

I would go with the 3.75" netpots. That way you can get your hand inside, if you need to. (drill 3.5" holes, fits perfect)

Don't use brass.

Regarding pump size, you have to calculate out the number of sprayers a pump can push. The green sprayers use 1 gallon (at 23psi) every 3 min. Don't use the ez-clone (red) 360 sprayers, as they use a gallon every 1.5 min.


So,,,,,, If you are using 1 gal every three minutes, one green sprayer is using 20 gallons per hour. 800gph pump / 20 gallons=40 sprayers.

How many plants do you want to put in a tube??? We put a sprayer between two netpots, so if you have 4 plants, you need 5 sprayers. Put the sprayers 3" off the side of the netpot. That makes the spray hit the sides nicely. This makes the netpots 6" apart.

You need a chiller. You need a chiller. You need a chiller. No chiller, no life. If you don't have a chiller, you will be freezing gallon jugs. That = nightmare. Keep water at 66f.

I keep one gallon per plant in my reservoir. Have to change once a week.

You can get flexible irrigation tubing for rigging sprayers, but I would just do pvc. It is cheaper.

You have to account for both pressure and flow. To run the 40 green sprayers you`ll need a pump capable of delivering 800gph at 52ft of head (23psi).
No sense buying a chiller until he`s sure he needs one.

Thanks for that. Your comment got me to look up pump head. I always considered it the rise of the pipe from the pump to the plane of the jets. I never really considered pump head too much, as I only have a 30" rise to my jets.
