I'm realy new to this, but i had a freind tell me that cutting off the big fan leaves would help the new growth. Is this true or will the results be harmful in the end?

dont cut off fan leaves, tuck them under the bud sites, best of both worlds. I never cut off fan leaves, they will die and fall off when ready.

depends on the strain, if its outdoors you wont be able to control when it flowers, unless its an auto flowering strain. White hairs are good it means its ready to or beginning to flower. If your plant is a clone, than its just ready to flower, but you need 10 - 12 hours of darkness outdoors to trigger flower, unless its an auto, than it will flower when its ready.

i also have a question my fan leaves r turning yellow and look like there dien.. in 3-4 weeks of veg i thought it was natural but ppl are tellin me its not this has happen before to me.. my plant still lived on but.. it came out male so i killed it i just tested the ph level its 6.8 i need answers..

Its not a clone, I started it from a seed and I live in Central Florida so it gets plenty of sun, and is there a way to make it flower?

nitrogen def, weak nutes to start, during veg any nute for dark green foliage is best. During flower nutes for fruiting.

PH level is too high,
soil 6 - 6.4, 6.2 is best
hydro 5.4 - 6, 5.8 is best

i doubt ph is your problem though .. plants need nutes once a week at least.

nope, needs 12 hours of darkness unless its a ruderalis (autoflowering) plant .. at least two months of flower as well

Don't ever remove fan leaves before harvest for several reasons.

1. The fan leaves MAKE AND STORE energy for the plant. The fan leaves are doing a process called photosynthsis, and it is the most important part or task or job the plant does, to make it grow. They make needed sugars and carbs used for food.

If you remove a FAN leaf, the plant will stop growing taller until it can replace that removed fan leaf.

Removing a healthy fan leaf is a big waste of time..they are rapided replaced,, unless you are in the last few weeks of flowering.

2. Even if the fan leaves are yellowing in late bloom I do not remove them until they are almost ready to fall off. The yellowing in the fan leaves at late harvest is the plants metabolism at work. She is transferring all stored energy in the fan leaf to bud production. It is the easiest source of energy she has late in life.

From the Growers Bible by Jorge Cervantes:
Leave leaves alone! Removal of healthy leave hacks up a healthy plant. Removing large or shade leaves DOES NOT make plants more productive. This practice DOES NOT supply more light to smaller leaves and growing tips. Plants need all their leaves to produce the maximum amount of chlorophyll and food. Removing leaves slows chlorophyll production, stresses the plant, and stunts its growth. Stress is a growth inhibitor. Remove only dead leaves or leaves that are more than 50 percent damaged.

should I bring it indoors at night? or can I leave it outside to force it to flower? Sorry I'm new at this and have load of questions
it would be easier to bring them inside permanently, as you would have to bring it in and out same time everyday. You can flower with orange cfl's or fluoros ..
any q's pm me

I have a picture of my one plant on my profile, I don't know if you can look at them and let me know if its growing good and maybe what kind of plant it is, the seed was given to me
