Ok so, I live in a tropical climate and I can grow almost all year. I want to start another group of plants when my crop finishes in late september/early october. So my question is... Should I grow some autoflowering plants or photos??? Im thinking the photos wouldstart flowering right away just like autos. Is this correct? What plants should I do to get the best results out of an outdoor winter grow. Thanks!

I don't grow autos, but from what I understand they will flower regardless of the photoperiod. So yes it should still flower.

Im trying not to sound confusing... Haha. Will I basically get the same result with both? I have never grown a photoperiod plant from seed directly into flower so what results will come from that??? Would I get better results using autos or should I stick with photos? Hope that helps.

In that case any suggestions? That response is extremely vague. If you have a response tell me something that might actually help.

Photo period plants may take longer to reach sexual maturity, thus being larger before they go into flower. You should try to get them growing as soon as possible to utilize the most sunshine. That's what I'm doing, harvest in November/December.

Try some of each and tell us what works the best for you.

Maybe I should! I dont have room to start any more just yet. I have 4 going now with one almost 8 foot tall. I will start them when this crop is almost ready to harvest.

So photoperiod plants must reach a sexual maturity before tjey can flower? From seed if planted in sept. They wont start flowering right away? Is this maturity period more than 4 weeks? Autos usually start flowering around 4 weeks."

Two years ago I grew 2 autos and 2 photos side by side in my garden. They all had approximately the same yield and were ready within a week of each other.
