Just wondering if any of your great potheads out there have any thoughts on growing indoors in the winter ( today we got 10 inches of snow) I thought about trying to grow upstairs in a bedroom closets are to small. :joint: :peace::peace: that would be soil growing at this point. I frew last time in the basement but finding it might be to cold .

From Midwest here as well and had fun with the snow this morning too, it's a winter wonderland out there. :D

I'm growing indoors in my basement by my furnace and water heater. Those 2 raise the temp enough, plus any miniscule CO2 leak from those 2 (both are gas) I'm sure benefits the plants.

hey im in the midwest too. we just got hit by a big storm yesterday too... i only have a few plants that i work with just to keep it on the dl... so when i grow i just do everything in my closet... but u need more room. what kind of lighting? how many plants are you planning on? soil is really easy in doors. just make sure if u have anything more than a few plants and a decent light that your area is vented. any temps over 90 will kill the plants. but the basement is too cold? if you need space that bad and want to use the basement, get some space heaters. electric ones are like 20 bucks and can stay on all day. but get back to me about those details i asked about and ill see what i can think of.

Hey there heres a responce to your questions last grow I did was with florecents as far as the lighting for the winter im still tryin to figure it out and as far as how many plants I have all the seeds i need im gonna start about 10 to 12 the basement is a little cold but im sure i could fix that not sure about space heaters they tend to be a bit on the dangerous side i thought about doin a little grow room in my xtra bedroom and as far as heaters i bought one at menards and it works just perfectly my humidifer is at about 20 percent in the basement at this point i do have a small space in the basement its like a closet but not sure if it will be big enought if i wanna start of with 10 to 12 plants I grew in the summer time for my first time and now I wanna try for winter growing its all a learning process I should have some pics on here on rollit up.org if u look around from my summertime project:blsmoke:

I'm growing in the upper midwest. Right now, my ambient temp in the unheated basement is 61 to 63 degrees. I built a 6' x 6' enclosure using 2 x 4s, pink insulation board and reflectix insulation on the inside. I have two 600W HPS lights running 24/7 right now, and the temp inside the enclosure is 75-80 degrees. I haven't sealed up the room at the top where the joists are, but if the temp inside the chamber drops too much that will be my first step. I'm about to start flowering, so I'm not going to have the lights on constantly soon. I will have my daylight period at night though, so temperatures will stay steady even when I lower my thermostat for the night. Supercold days might require a space heater for a few hours. There will be a few of those as I expect to finish flowering around the end of February. brrrrrrrrr.

best thing you could do is do it in an extra space like a room or closet of a spare room... or your closet... get some dressers keep everything in your closet in your dressers in your spare room. that would be cool. i wish i had a spare room.
