Oregon currently has over 300,000 acres burned by wildfires and rapidly spreading. We have been experiencing a haze of smoke in my area for a few weeks, but no smell or ash until this morning...

Noticed some ash on the hood of my car today. If youre in the valley were supposed to be getting some wind to blow that smoke further east this week. Shouldnt really harm the plant but ash could get stuck inside the buds

I'm in bay area NorCal and we're getting your ash all the way down here. It's small but its there. Chemphlegm said it right.

I doubt that you are getting ash all the way from oregon....Norcal is battling its own fires ATM.

As the straight northwest wind blows... it all comes south. But you're right. We had fires going here too. I remember when Mt St Helens blew. We had ash in Los Angeles.

Make sure you are safe if you get any fires closer. This has been a crazy fire season out your way.
Hikers on the PCT are having a hell of a time this year. Having to skip 100's of miles of trail because of the fires. As snowy as it was this year, it's hard to believe how many fires there has been.
