A Murray mother is facing a felony child endangerment charge after she allegedly gave her 14-year-old son marijuana.
Her son was caught with a glass pipe that smelled like and had a residue of marijuana when the assistant principal at Hillcrest Junior High School searched the boy's locker on Sept. 24, according to charging documents filed Thursday in 3rd District Court. The official contacted the boy's mother and asked her to come to school.
The boy told the assistant principal that the pipe was his, and he gets his marijuana from his mother. The 42-year-old woman admitted to school officials and a Murray police officer that she gives him marijuana and allows him to smoke it "because she does not want him to do it behind her back," according to the charging documents.
