Can you use Wood Ash tea for Fungus Gnat Larvae?
Would a pot of Basil deter bugs?

That's pretty high and I don't dought it at all. Makes me wonder how forests regrow after a fire.

Well, make a tea and check the PH.. I don't see how it could be lower..

The Tea is 1 gallon of Ash to 5 gallons of water, then 1 cup of that to 1gallon of water. So the PH should be much lower.
This guy is using the Tea and sprinkling some around plants and you don't want to hear what he says about PH.

pH is a logarithmic scale. Diluting doesn't change it much. And I wouldnt treat my plants with that. The amount needed to kill gnats will also damage your roots.

I dump ash from our fire pit in certain areas because enough of it it kills everything including poison ivy. It’s not diluted I get that, but it’s not something I would put on plants I wanted to thrive.
