Would 4 Vero 29s cover a 32"x32" tent?

Or should I go with more ? Also are lenses worth it in a small tent?
Thanks any input would be greatly appreciated.

4 Vero29s at 1400ma is more than enough light. PPFD around 1050-1100.

I've never cared to use lenses myself. They might bump the intensity up a bit but it will be plenty either way.

Thanks for the help man.

It depends what version of the cob you want to run. Your tent is 7sq ft so max wattage would be 350w or so but you could get away with 225-250w.
4 Vero 29D would be 200w or 50w per cob.
4 Vero 29C would be 380w or 95w per cob or so.
4 Vero 29B would be 280-300w or 75w per cob.

The best mix of cost and performance to me would be the B version for your tent or the C if you want to splurge.

Do you think I can get enough coverage with a single bar build hung from the center of my tent? Or should I build an H shape so there is a COB in each corner? Sorry for the noob questions this is my first build.

I'm looking at the 36v chips becausemy driver can run 4-5.

I think the only way you could get 5 cobs on that driver is by capping the dimming wires and running it at full strength. Actually, the gen 7 run at 37.2v per cob @1400ma so there's no way 5 would fit on that driver. That doesn't stop you from running 4 of them though and you could mix the spectrum whatever way you wanted or choose all one spectrum.

Thanks for the help man.

Sorry I gave you wrong info. I did the math for 36"x36"... PPFD in a 32x32" area would be closer to 1350-1400 -w- 4x Vero 29C at 1400ma.

5x Vero 29D would give you about 850 PPFD which is a nice intensity IMO.

Problem is he already has the driver and it won't fit 4 version C or B. He's stuck with version D but that's not a bad thing, it's just not overkill. He could fit 2 x C's and 3 x B's and 4 x D's.

Voltage at 1400 should be closer to 36 so it's likely you could dim 5 with the HLG-240H-C1400B.

I run 8 Vero 29 on 2 of those exact drivers so I can't complain. They didn't magically fit on the 185H-C1400 like the CXB's do so I figured the 240 would be fine and I can always re-purpose them which I might. I can run all 8 of the Vero 29 on a 185H-C700.
