Would it be okay to flower with blue cfls just for first week or so untll get red ?

hi, im on my first grow on week 7 of veg im getting a 300w red 2700k cfl to flower but wont have this for 2 weeks or so. can anyone tell me would it be ok to flower with blue 6400k cfls just until i get the new red light ?

Yes, i have flowered plants with a t5 6500K before, there is a lot of debate about what light plant really can and will use indoors.

okay thanks i thought it would be okay, its got female pre flowers already. Juse someone told me not to

Honestly a lot of people will flip to 12/12 while still under a blue light, give veg nutrients for a few weeks, and slowly transition into hps and flower nutes. Every one has their own theories, i know from experience this can be done.

y dont ppl do both hps and mh i dont see why not it is more lumens after all
i wanna be able to do a sea of green method myself since i like smoking so often
i need to switch to a vaporizer before my lungs are totaled

The electric bill is and replacing the bulbs more often is what deters some i'm guessing. Others because they think that they plant can't use the spectrum of light from the MH during flowering so they don't see a point in using it.
